Just a little something.

I haven't been writing here in a while sorry about that.

School is back on and my weeks from now on are starting to look pretty full of school stuff, for example musical rehearsals, violin and singing stuff.
In a week I'll have two auditions, one for our school's musical Nahkatakkinen tyttö ('A Girl With A Leather Jacket') which is performed in January. And the other one is to Sibelius Academy for singing lessons. I'm applying to be a practice student, where the actual classical singing students from the Academy teach me so they won't be professionals but anyways I believe I could still learn heaps from them.

Another thing what I haven't talked about is that my sister form Germany, Lena, was here and we had so much fun! It was like we had just been together although it had been a whole year since we last saw each other. And after she had left she was just a dream. I couldn't believe she had just been with me in Finland for a week or so.. But we had so much fun! We went to my grandparents summer cottage for a night, we went to Suomenlinna, 'A Fortress of Finland', we went to a party to my bf's house and so on... Unfortunately I had work on two days so I had to leave her home or the other time she had some time to go shopping.

This happens when you let your workmates hug you. I walked around like 10 minutes before someone told me that 'btw you have something on your back.' We had a good laugh tho!

We got some strawberries from our backyard.

I went to see the Tall Ship's Races. Next year if I haven't got anything on the day they arrive I would love to go with them. They always recruit people from a harbor to another.

I also got to enjoy my time at the sea. First I went sailing with a good friend of mine to a little sailing boat for two. The boat itself was really cute, pink 'Love Boat'. It was the first time I got to try that and it was interesting. My abs didn't like it so much so we had to have these little break in the between.

After the sailing with my friend I left out on the sea with three guys. We camped on and island and luckily there weren't anyone else there because they probably wouldn't have been so excited about the peace and harmony we brought with us! ;) We decided to make some burn marks around the fire place (not into living trees or anything!).
The next day or in the early morning it started to rain and our window started leaking.. In the end it was okay but maybe next time we should pick a day when it isn't gonna rain.

Just last week we went camping into the woods with couple mates and AGAIN it started to rain in the morning... We really aren't good with this!

Holma-Saarijärvi was the island where we camped.

Our men in the woods!

And last but not least, today I went to Helsinki and enjoyed the Restaurant Day. It is a day when anyone can have a restaurant in their backyard for example. I went to see my friends burger restaurant where they had a window open from their apartment to the patio where people could sit (on the concrete) and listen to music and couple live bands.
If I ever live in Helsinki on a good spot I will also take part in the restaurant day. I was thinking about setting up a bakery maybe. But that's not gonna happen for a while.

Retro Station

Next time I will probably just talk about theatre and musical and everything to do with those things!!

From the back of my head

Couple weeks ago I ran into this likes.com site and there was this site about STDs, Facts on STDs. I thought they were some crazy facts or funny things what people has thought about STDs but instead I found some real (I don't know how reliable) facts about them. Anyways there was one that got stuck into my head I it's been bugging me ever since:

#3 Pregnancy Scare
Hey ladies, remember when you used to worry so much about getting knocked up? Turns out a woman is four times more likely to contract STDs than she is to become pregnant! We're thinking it's probably time to start doing a little more than just going on the pill!

This topic came back into my mind just today because I had to book myself a visit to a gynecologist. It's something what I just have to do and it is recommended to be done in 1 to 3 years. It doesn't really sound tempting to go to show Everything to some random doctor (but Thank god to a doctor!!). In the end they're professional and know what they're doing and maybe they have acknowledged that it is not the favorite visit that every woman loves to do.

So what's the scary part in the examination? Is it that someone who you've never met before suddenly knows almost everything that's going on inside of your pants? Or are we scared that we might actually have something wrong with ourselves down there? How can we know? I don't think most of the girls compare each others parts in sleepovers. Do guys talk about STDs? Do girls?
Too many questions that I cannot answer.

Speed dating and weird questions

Watch out people! I passed my driver's license exam. On a same day, on Wednesday, I left to drive on my own. It was quite scary but I made it alive. Now I have to drive about month on my own and then go back to driving school to get some extra lessons and have a group lesson where they're trying to demonstrate group pressure. Maybe in a year I will at least have my final license.

Recently I bumped into speed dating and I started to think what kinda questions you should be asking from that unfamiliar person who's sitting opposite of you. I found this website uk.askmen.com where there were ten questions for men to ask from women during a speed date.
I don't know much about speed dating and I probably wouldn't go on one, but I think it is a brilliant way to know immediately would that person actually be interesting and could your lives go along each other. For example a question about kids:
Number 7
Do you want or do you have any children?Ahh, children. Depending on your personal goals, this question could very well be the deal-breaker.
Like the website said this might be the big deal-breaker and funny thing is that in a non-speed-dating relationship start you wouldn't ask those kinda things at the beginning. For some it actually might be a reason why they break up. Others want kids and others don't but is it worth it that you wait for months before you even find out that in the end you want different things? I'm sorry for my straightness but I've made mistakes like that. In the end I realize that it cannot work.

Other thing in starting a relationship is the importance of communicating and having fights. This might sound weird but I actually kinda wait fro the first fight. I'm not looking for trouble but I want to know that we can get through tough times and manage to solve things and compromise. Am I the only one who thinks like this? I know I am a bit different and weird but it would be great not to be the only one thinking like this.

I am just like the girl in this song. A Restless Girl.

KESÄ SUMMER SOMMAR

Summer is all on. And while everybody else is outside having fun and enjoying the summer, I'm inside working. I am very lucky to have a job and I actually enjoy working. I'm a waitress/cleaner/someone-who-does-anything-that's-needed in a sushi restaurant, HankoSushi. Sometimes it doesn't even feel work because of the coworkers. There are people from all around the world; Estonia, Pakistan, China and Ukraine and I can speak English almost all the time, except for the customers.

Couple nights back I got to spend an awesome night with few of my friends watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Well we watched the first two and then continued to sauna. There were three girls and one guy in the sauna. Recently I participated into a survey made by HS (the biggest Finnish news paper) where they wanted to know what people thought about going to sauna with the opposite gender (sekasaunominen). I told them that I have been in sauna with males and there's nothing weird about it. I recon that mix gender sauna is part of the Finnish culture and it can never be removed.
Sauna is a sacred place at some level for me at least and like we talked couple days ago with my friends we came up with this interesting observation. Although we act pretty sexually (if I may say) towards each other, with a sense of humor of course, the behavior stopped immediately we got to the sauna and showering facilities.

Tomorrow I am off to a friends summer cottage with three guys and two girls. I'm really excited and I bet it's gonna be great. If I continue with the last subject we have been talking about going to sauna all together and I trust my friends so there won't be any awkward situations. I think the most important thing in going into sauna with the opposite gender is to create the most comfortable atmosphere so everyone would feel okay with themselves.

Sorry I'm a bit late with all these photos but rather now than never.

What is better than more or less drunk people playing soccer? D-cup was all on on the third last day of school. Unfortunately because I twisted my ankle the day before while playing basketball I wasn't able to attend and we had to get a replacement in our team.

Our awesome team!

Kesäkorva, Summer Festival we have at school where we have heaps of bands, food for free, candyfloss and popcorn! It's always great except my friend and I had our ankles twisted..

I went to see my little brothers soccer game but unfortunately his knee quit so he had to step aside after 45 minutes.

Isn't he cute!? He's my little summer-man :)
